Distance Learning Resources for PreK-12

The sites below are provided as options and sources for ideas and inspiration only. The list is also not exhaustive; there are many quality resources and learning activities available online.

PBS is committed to supporting teachers and students with free, at-home learning tools to inspire and inform.

    • PBS LearningMedia [鈥淧BSLM鈥漖 is a free online tool for teachers, parents, and others to use PBS content anywhere, anytime. PBS has organized webinars for teachers to learn how to incorporate PBSLM into their distance learning plans. Station staff are also creating and updating collections of videos, source documents, lesson plans, and more into easily-accessible posts and webpages so that educators and parents have a place to find resources.
  2. 听(笔谤别碍-12)
    • As teachers, students, and families deal with school closures, PBS LearningMedia producers and educators have come together to curate a special collection of resources organized by grade and subject area. Find videos, lesson plans, and activities that support learning at home.听Featured lesson plans in this collection contain full contextualization for the media they include. Plan and adapt our lessons in creative ways, using the Lesson Builder tool, Google Classroom, Remind, and more.
  3. WNET Educator Resources

  4. , the 澳门特码王 Regents examination preparation site
    • For each Regents exam there is a one-hour long exam review video. Some of the videos are also broken into shorter clips for those looking for help with a particular topic. The teachers involved in creating these videos formulated lists of recommended online resources for further study.
    • WCNY鈥檚 TV Classroom network is for students in grades K-12 and provide curriculum on the subjects of ELA, math, science, health and physical education, history, and social studies. With schools closed and many children without internet access, WCNY is committed to providing educational opportunities to audiences of all ages. WCNY鈥橲 鈥淭V Classroom鈥 allows children to continue to connect with real teachers and have the continuity of a classroom experience at home in Syracuse and across the 19 counties in Central New York.
  5. Integrating Technology with Molly of Denali
    • 鈥溾 celebrates the fact that Molly loves her technology, and uses it responsibly! Join PBS Kids as we consider the important role real-world tech use plays in our students' lives, and their understanding and engagement with informational text.
  6. Mondays with Michelle Obama
    • Check out the听听辞谤听听pages every Monday at noon to watch Mrs. Obama read aloud from beloved children鈥檚 books (one book every Monday through May 11). This Monday Mrs. Obama is reading Miss Maple's Seeds by Eliza Wheeler. Watch last week's story here:听.
  7. WMHT Resources
    • Through the WMHT听听(for young learners ages 2-8) and the听,听听(for learners grades 6-12) WMHT will broadcast programming linked to at-home learning resources that can be used by educators to supplement distance learning plans, or by parents to provide added enrichment and support for children鈥檚 educational needs.

      • WMHT PBS KIDS 24/7 Channel:听WMHT offers anytime access to more than twenty series aligned to curriculum goals 鈥 from science and math, to literacy and life lessons. Available on-air via your WMHT, and livestreaming on the PBS KIDS Video app, wmht.org/kidsvideo, and pbskids.org. Related parent and teacher resources are also available (see below).
      • WORLD Channel:听From听12 noon to 5 pm weekdays, the WORLD Channel offers programs on math, science, social studies and English language arts, curated by educators and aligned to related digital resources on PBS LearningMedia.听To find WMHT WORLD Channel on your television, visit听.
