On Friday, June 28, 2024, Governor Kathy Hochul signed Chapter 143 of the Laws of 2024, which amends Education Law 搂3012-d and establishes Education Law 搂3012-e.听The purpose of this guidance is to answer common questions that the Department has received about听statutory changes听and their impact on educator evaluation plans.听

LEAs are required to submit their completed educator evaluation plans aligned with 搂3012-d as amended into the . The Department reviews each plan to determine if it rigorously complies with the Education Law and corresponding subpart of the Rules of the Board of Regents.听 A hard copy of the Educator Evaluation Form is available for download.听
